Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department. Travel assignment in Greenbrae, California, United States. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week contract. Shifts are 3x12-hour rotating, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,232 to $2,323. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital ED with Level 3 Trauma Center status and STEMI/Stroke receiving capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to ED patients, including adults and pediatrics, with rapid triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, and support procedures as directed by physicians and ED protocols.
- Participate in trauma resuscitation and STEMI/stroke activations; maintain readiness and adherence to trauma center and resuscitation protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, PAs, nurses, respiratory therapists, case management) to coordinate patient care and disposition.
- Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate clearly with patients and families; assist with discharge planning when appropriate.
- Maintain pediatric-specific competencies and adapt care to pediatric patients within the ED setting.

Requirements
- Current California RN license (active) and ability to practice in an ED/trauma setting.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required; ENPC preferred.
- Experience in trauma care within an ED environment and solid knowledge of pediatric care.
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or higher acceptable; licensure must be active in California).
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ED environment with 3x12 rotating shifts and a commitment to 36 hours per week; start date must be available on or before 06/01/2026.
