Scale Operator

ABOUT THE ROLE
Provides timely and accurate tickets to customers ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scale. Assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency of trucking. Located in Lorain, OH.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Provides excellent customer support to internal and external customers.
• Ensure that all COD order money is collected and properly documented. Prepare deposit bags in accordance with company policies.
• Ensures that tickets are verified for numbers, dated and time accuracy and ensurthat customer trucks (internal and external customers) leave the yard properly loaded.
• Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required Training/Certifications: Weigh Master License may be required in some states
• Required Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and understanding of hardware/software

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,volume, and distance
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
