Technical Writer/Editor

Overview

This role provides comprehensive documentation support across multiple web and application development projects. The position ensures all requirements, documentation, testing, and accreditation materials are developed, maintained, and aligned with project schedules and government standards.

Job Duties
  • Participate in regular web development meetings and provide required updates and information to the Government Task Lead.
  • Record and deliver meeting minutes in accordance with CDRL CSD72 for all attended meetings.
  • Develop RMF documentation to support accreditation efforts for all applications.
  • Create and maintain application help files, user manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that reflect the current production environment and meet project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) consistent with user-level requirements and current system functionality.
  • Ensure SRS documents serve as the authoritative reference for verification, validation, and acceptance testing.
  • Develop and maintain Software Test Plans (STPs) aligned with all applications and modules, following CSD SDP guidance.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting briefings and reports as directed by the Government Task Lead.
  • Perform software and website testing to verify functionality, validate requirements implementation, and document findings in accordance with Government Task Lead direction.

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: 2+ years of related experience
Experience: 3+ years of specialized experience in information technology documentation

Possess expertise with formatting tools in common word processing applications
US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $63,312 - $85,658. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
