Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA Tester with strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. This role requires candidates to be local to either Tampa, FL or Hermitage/Nashville, TN, with a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite: Tuesday–Thursday). The ideal candidate will have deep experience in backend testing, APIs, databases, and end-to-end system validation, with the ability to ensure high-quality delivery across core business workflows.

• Rate Range- $40-55/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end system testing across applications and business workflows
• Design, develop, and execute test strategies and test cases
• Validate backend processes, including databases and stored procedures
• Test and validate APIs and web services
• Identify gaps in test coverage and ensure critical business flows are fully validated
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding/testing standards
• Analyze system architecture and map it to business and functional requirements
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in QA testing (manual + automation)
• Hands-on experience with databases and stored procedures
• Experience testing APIs and backend services
• Understanding of end-to-end system testing methodologies
• Knowledge of programming concepts and coding standards

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand technical architecture and translate it into test scenarios
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Additional Requirements:

• Must be local to Tampa, FL or Hermitage/Nashville, TN
• Willingness to work onsite 3 days per week (Tuesday–Thursday)
