Solvet is seeking experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) for a full-time opportunity supporting a federal healthcare facility in South Carolina. This role offers consistent hours, multiple shift options, and the opportunity to support high-quality care for a diverse patient population.
Position Details
Location: Columbia, SC
Schedule:
Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Days: Monday–Friday + weekends/holidays as needed
Scope of Work
MLTs will function as generalists and perform testing across all major lab departments:
Chemistry
Hematology
Blood Bank
Urinalysis
Microbiology
Responsibilities include:
Performing and verifying lab tests with accuracy
Reporting critical values and results
Maintaining quality control and compliance standards
Supporting specimen collection and processing
Utilizing VA systems (VISTA/EHR) for documentation
Qualifications Required:
MLT Certification (ASCP or AMT)
Minimum 2 years of generalist experience
Associate’s degree in:
Medical Laboratory Science
Clinical Laboratory Science
Medical Technology or related field
Completion of clinical training program
Ability to work across all lab departments
