Superintendent - GC Division

Are you an experienced Superintendent with strong design-build experience in the construction industry, eager to thrive in a respected and dynamic organization? Are you passionate and have experience building high-end custom homes with a typical $5-10 million budget? Louis Ptak Construction seeks a Superintendent for our General Contracting team. You will work closely with the GC division head and project managers to optimize our projects and create the best customer experience. You are a builder at heart, having been a “bags on” carpenter doing the work, and now want to take our customer's dream from plan to build.

What you get to own:

• Coordinate and direct all on-site work
• Using architectural plans, lay out the entire house from axis lines/gridlines by directing concrete, structural steel, and carpenters on where to place the structure.
• Review and markup shop drawings for structural and finish trades.
• Build the project schedule and identify all critical paths.
• Collaborate with PM, APM, PA, and subcontractors to foresee and solve problems.

What we're looking for:

• 20+ years experience in custom high end construction, commercial or residential (highly preferred). 
• 10+ years experience as a carpenter or other trade experience.
• 5+ years experience as Foreman/Super.
• Has/Had a GC license and run your own GC company and wants to go back to working for someone else.
• Current usage of MS Project or Procore.
• Keen understanding of best practices for construction and building codes.
