Commercial Construction General Contractor
Seeking a detail-oriented, systems-savvy Assistant Controller to support our accounting operations. This is a key leadership-track role designed for a construction finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Position Overview
Partner closely with the Controller and executive team to oversee accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy. Hands-on experience in commercial construction accounting, including job cost, WIP reporting, and subcontractor management needed
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations
Maintain and oversee job cost accounting and project financial tracking
Prepare and analyze WIP schedules
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Oversee subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and compliance
Assist with cash flow forecasting and financial reporting
Support audit preparation and year-end processes
Ensure proper cost coding between SAGE 300 and Procore
Continuously improve accounting processes and controls
Required Qualifications
3+ years of accounting experience in commercial construction
Strong proficiency in SAGE 300 (Timberline)
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Procore
Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting
Solid understanding of AIA billing and subcontractor compliance
Strong Excel skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Experience
Experience in a general contractor environment (not just subcontractor)
Multi-project financial management experience
CPA or CPA-track a plus
Experience supporting audits
